[edit] How do I add a new user account (wiki editor)?
- Log in to the wiki, then go back to the log in page (Special:Userlogin).
- Click on "Create an account".
- Enter a username and email address.
- Click the button "by e-mail". The new user will then get an automated email and be prompted to log in and create their own password.
- Next, you must give the new user editing rights. Go to the user rights management page (Special:Userrights).
- Enter the new username
- Select “Sysops” under Available Groups to give the new user editing rights.
- Select “Bureaucrats” under Available Groups if you want the new user to have the ability to assign user rights to others.
- Save.

- The User List page (Special:Listusers) provides a list of all registered wiki users and their permission levels.

[edit] How do I create a new page?
There are a couple different ways you can create a new page.
- Do a search for the title of the new page.
- At the top of the search results page, you will see the text: "There is no page titled "xxx xxxxx". You can create this page."
- Click on "create this page" to create a new page with that title.
- It will take you to the editing view so you can add content.'
- Note: Don't forget to add links to your new page elsewhere in the wiki.
If you want to create a link to a new page and create the new page at the same time:
- Click the Edit tab at the top of the page where you want to add the link.
- Place your cursor at the point where you want to insert the new page link.
- Click on the Insert/Edit Link button on the editing toolbar.
- Type the name of the new page in the Link field and click OK.
- You should see a link to your new page in red. Click on it to add information.
[edit] How do I rename a page?
- Click on the Move tab at the top of the page.
- Enter the new page title.
- Click on the Move page button.
Note: The old title will become a redirect page, so any links to the old title will still go to the new page.

- Click on the Delete tab at the top of the page.
- Enter a reason for the deletion.
- Click on the Delete page button.
[edit] How do I restore a page that I accidentally deleted?
- Go to Special:Log/delete to view a list of recently deleted pages.
- Click on the Restore link next to the page you want to restore.

[edit] How do I create a link to another wiki page?
- Highlight the word or phrase that you want to link.
- Click on the Insert/Edit Link button on the editing toolbar.
- Type at least the first 3 letters of the name of the page in the Link field. You should see a list of all page names that contain what you typed in the Automatic Search Results box.
- Click on the page name that you want to link to in the Automatic Search Results box.
- Click OK and Save page.

- Highlight the word or phrase that you want to link.
- Click on the Insert/Edit Link button on the editing toolbar.
- Type (or paste) the complete URL in the Link field (for example, http://www.msu.edu).
- Click OK and Save page.

- Highlight the word or phrase that you want to link.
- Click on the Insert/Edit Link button on the editing toolbar.
- Type "mailto:" and then the email address in the Link field (for example, mailto:kille@msu.edu).
- Click OK and Save page.

[edit] How do I upload an image to the wiki?
- Click on the Upload file link in the Toolbox section in the sidebar.
- Browse to and select the file you want to upload.
- Enter a summary (description) of the file.
- Click the Upload file button.
[edit] How do I add an image to a page?
Note: The image must be uploaded to the wiki first (see instructions above).
- Click on the Insert/Edit Image button on the editing toolbar.
- Type at least the first 3 letters of the image file name. You should see the results in the Automatic Search Results box. To view a list of all image file names, go to the Uploaded Files list.
- Click on the file you want to use.
- Type a caption.
- Click OK and Save page.

- Go to the Uploaded Files link in the Staff section in the sidebar to view a list of all images that have been uploaded to the wiki.
- You can search for specific names or sort the list in various ways.

[edit] What is the difference between the Go and the Search buttons underneath the search box?
- The function of the Go button is to display a page directly, instead of first having to select it from the search result page.
- The Search button does a search for all instances of the text you want to find.

- Click on the Insert/Edit Link button on the editing toolbar.
- Type "Category:Xxxxx" where Xxxxx is the name of the category.
- Click OK and Save page.
